The Karen Tobacco-Free Program, a partnership between WellShare International and KOM (Karen Organization of Minnesota), helped celebrate the New Year with the Karen community. As part of our work on theCommunities Eliminating Tobacco Inequities(CETI) initiative, supported by theCenter for Prevention, we participated in this cultural event to inform and educate young people and adults on the health risks of tobacco use and thesmoke-free public housing policythat will go into effect on July 31, 2018 that requires all Public Housing Agencies to be smoke free.
