Minnesota Daily highlights WellShare

“It’s not often that I am lost for words, but I just needed a moment to kind of take it in and catch my breath and really understand the depth and the magnitude and the generosity and how life-changing that award is,” says WellShare’s Chief of Operations and Strategy, Andrea Ross, in an interview with Minnesota Daily.

This award is a testament to our incredible staff, volunteers, clients, donors, partners and funders. We are honored to be among eight other highly esteemed local awardees and many incredible national awardees.

Former WellShare Development Manager, Jessica Leisz shares, “While a gift of this magnitude felt out of reach at the beginning of this grant process, we knew we had the expertise, approach and team that the funders were looking for.”

Our team and our community partners have big dreams about the ways we can strengthen our infrastructure and scale our reach, and our impact. A continued investment in community health work is changing the face and landscape of service delivery.

“We know that health care is not just made up of time in the clinical system. Health is the result of daily life, the choices you make, and the ability to seek services when needed. Community health workers make a difference in the short and long term,” Andrea Ross.

The Yield Giving Open Call – managed by Lever for Change – focused on elevating organizations working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States.
