Intern Spotlight: Meet Maegi!
Meet Maegi Yang! Maegi was an Administration and Development Intern at WellShare before she became our Administrative and Data Coordinator. A recent graduate from the University of Minnesota, Maegi earned her bachelors degree in Health Service Management with a focus on Public Health. She is passionate about improving public health, providing equal access to education, leadership and diversity. Maegi shares WellShares vision of communities with equitable health care and resources where ALL individuals live healthy and fulfilling lives.
Growing up in poverty with varied living standards, I’ve realized the importance that healthcare plays in an individual’s life. This is where my passions for helping people and healthcare came to light. I love working with people and being able to build strong, lasting relationships and connections. I aspire to continue helping people and applying the skills and experiences I gained from working at WellShare throughout my professional career.
Maegi has been instrumental in building WellShares capacity around Monitoring and Evaluation of our programs, streamlining our grant application and tracking process, and has been an overall asset to the day-to-day functioning of our office. We are proud and grateful for the continued support we receive from young students and professionals like Maegi.
